Whilst I have always seen myself as a person who takes
a rational view of things and conducts my life more on an 'intellectual' basis
than at a 'feeling' level, I have been prepared to believe that there are forces
at work which are unseen. We had a bore
hole sunk at a our property which was sited using metal rods and a hazel twig
and I can see that there might be scientific explanation for this.
After Joy had attended a 2-day dowsing course, I was
curious to hear from her about other ways of dowsing. She showed
me the use of her amethyst necklace as a pendulum and I've found that I often
get a clear reaction with it. Being beginners,
we don't yet have the knowledge or understanding to always know how to interpret
the reaction.
I've had some problems with some foods affecting me adversely
so we decided to use a pendulum on a number of foods
to see whether there would be differing reactions. I asked whether each food
was good for me and we then listed them
according to the direction of rotation. The result was almost entirely that
foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and fish were
in one list and dairy products, coffee and alcohol were in the other. We then
did the same thing with a few items which were covered over so I could not see
them. Again the result was consistent with 'healthy' foods swinging in one direction
and
cat food in the other.
